Our cancellation policies are based on the rate plan that you select when booking. We offer flexible and non-refundable options.

Best Flexible Rate: 
A valid Credit Card is required to confirm your reservation. You will be charged a 50% non-refundable deposit 48 hours prior to arrival. Cancel by 4 PM local hotel time at least 2 days prior to arrival to avoid a fee of 50% of room and tax charges.

Pay Now and Save:
A non-refundable deposit equal to 100% of your room and tax charges is required at the time of booking and will be charged to the credit card provided immediately. Please note the credit card provided for payment must be presented at check in. Full prepayment is due at the time of booking. No refunds will be provided for cancellation or modification.

The Nickel Hotel is located at 529 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403. We’re located on Upper King Street in Charleston's vibrant Cannonborough neighborhood, conveniently close to restaurants, bars, shops, and more!

We certainly do! Our concierge and front desk staff are ready to assist you any time of the day.

Absolutely! Everyone at our front desk is also a concierge, with vast knowledge of Charleston. Our team is available 24/7 to help you build your dream itinerary!

We are not pet-friendly. In order to be considerate of our guests with pet allergies, we do not allow pets on-site

Please note that Certified Service Animals (not ESAs) are allowed to join you without a fee.

All other reservations with pets staying in rooms are subject to a non-refundable $250 fee plus the cost of an additional night's stay for cleaning.

While every room is equipped with its own washer & dryer, we also offer off-site dry cleaning. That service is only available on weekdays, and for an additional fee. All items needing to be dry cleaned must be brought to the front desk before 8:00 AM in order to be returned the same day.

Yes, we offer on-site valet parking for $50.00 a day per vehicle, with unlimited in and out privileges. Please note that we cannot accommodate very large vehicles on our parking lifts. There is limited first-come, first-served parking available for large vehicles.

For self-parking preferences, there are nearby city meters & city-owned parking garages for self-parking options.

Check-in is guaranteed by 4:00pm. We’re happy to offer an earlier check in if your room is ready, but we can’t guarantee this in advance. That said, we can certainly hang onto your luggage while you head out and explore while we put the finishing touches on your room.

Check out is at 11:00 AM.

All units offer plush King size beds. We do not offer additional bedding such as cots or rollaways.

Yes, The Nickel is a completely smoke-free property. This includes our interior courtyard and rooftop bar & lounge, Rosemary Rose. We ask that any cigarettes, cigars, vapes, etc. be taken off property to be courteous to any guests with allergies.

All guests with evidence of smoking found in their room will be charged a non-refundable $250 fee along with the cost of an additional night for cleaning.

We offer daily touch-ups included in your stay. We offer weekly cleaning for guests staying one week or longer.

Yes, The Nickel has two elevators that can access all five floors of the building. 

The Nickel is home to 50 rooms and suites. All rooms are located on floors 2-4, with our Penthouses located on floor 5.

We certainly do! The 460 sq. ft. space is best suited for smaller gatherings, with a maximum capacity of 12 guests. It features a 6-person table along with a cozy lounge area complete with a sofa and armchairs. Guests also enjoy access to a private outdoor terrace overlooking our lush open-air courtyard, offering additional seating when weather permits. 

Please note that the room is not equipped with A/V capabilities, and all food and beverage service must be arranged through an outside caterer.

Absolutely! Our king balcony, balcony loft, and one-bedroom balcony suites include a view of our lovely interior courtyard, while our two and three-bedroom penthouses have wrap-around terraces with city views for guests to enjoy.

We do not offer room service from our rooftop bar. However, there are plenty of options to enjoy from your in-room “not-so-mini bar” featuring 30+ snack & beverage options.

The minimum age requirement to book a stay at The Nickel is 21. Anyone under 21 must be accompanied by someone 21 or older.

Our interior courtyard and Bar Daniel are reserved for hotel guests only. These private spaces make you feel like you’ve been transported to your own private getaway.

Yes! Our rooftop bar & lounge, Rosemary Rose, is open to the public and hotel guests alike.
